Looking to make your new vinyl decal pop and last for years to come? Here’s what you need to do:
- Clean application surface with rubbing alcohol.
- Take a hard item (like a credit card or ID) and rub it over the surface of the decal to ensure it’s firmly sticking to the clear transfer tape.
- Peel the transfer tape from the backing slowly (starting in a corner is easiest) and if any part of the decal is not sticking to it, rub it more with the hard surface.
- Once the decal is on the transfer tape, place it slowly on the item you want it to adhere to, making sure there are no bubbles. Use the credit card again (over the transfer tape) to smooth out the decal and make sure it’s stuck to the item.
- Pull up the transfer tape slowly and the decal will be adhered!
The majority of decals I sell are cut with Oracal 651 Outdoor-grade vinyl and will last up to 5 years under normal conditions.
